Small towns across the country thrive on traditions; our town is no different. In Spiceland, the Freedom Days Festival is one of our most treasured traditions. Spiceland Freedom Days began in the summer of 1976 by a group of dedicated citizens who wanted to celebrate the bicentennial of our country. Thanks to its success, the festival became a yearly event. Over the years, Freedom Days has been organized by different groups, all having one mission in mind - providing an opportunity for fellowship among neighbors and funding causes important to our community.
A portion of the funds we raise each year are used to help support seniors at Tri High School through a scholarship. This scholarship is just one way we can support the next generation in our community.
Our local fire department gives back to our community in so many ways, we felt it was important to return the favor. A portion of the funds we raise are donated back to the fire department to aid them in purchasing needed items.
